Ketchican

Big bear was catching salmon, biting out the brains and throwing the remains into the pool. What a waste. Bears like brains and eggs and will often discard the rest when fish are plentiful.

Big bear finally walked away and these younger bears now had their turn. The bear on the left was here first. The second bear is trying to take the salmon.

There is a little argument going on here.

It gets a little more aggressive.

The second bear gives up and goes and finds it's own fish in the pool where the big bear had discarded them.

We found this unusual rain thermometer on the wall of the Ketchikan Visitor Center.
