O'Malley Road Hillside Church
Sabbath we attended services at the O'Malley Seventh-day Adventist Church. Their pastor was out of town, so an Adventist Air Force chaplain, from a nearby base, had a very special message. Their fellowship meal was a treat. In the afternoon we went looking for moose. They usually can be found near the airport. Today, as usual, they hid from us. We did meet a couple who also visited church that day. He was a pastor from Ohio. We were doing our visiting just off the end of a runway, and planes were taking off almost over our heads. There were FedEx, UPS, cargo and passenger planes. A lot of the cargo planes were from China. We understand that Anchorage probably has more cargo planes depart than any other US airport.,
Places to moor float planes around Lake Hood have little sheds for storage. Here is one of the more interesting ones.
