Russian River to near Whittier Rd

At the Russian River campground, we took a round-trip hike of seven miles to the falls. Bears are often seen fishing in this river. We were disappointed that no bears were feeding when we were there. Salmon were jumping the falls on their way to spawn. If you look closely, you will see a salmon jumping up the falls. Double click on this picture, or any other picture for a larger view.
